A refund is the obligation to deduct recycling fees paid by a producer for the fulfillment of designated obligations regarding quantities of electrical equipment for which the producer can demonstrate cross-border transport to another Member State or export to a non-Member State.
If a manufacturer or importer of electrical equipment has imported or manufactured such equipment and subsequently exported it abroad, and reports this equipment in the quarterly report under the item “Exported outside Slovakia,” this electrical equipment is not subject to the recycling fee and therefore no refund can be requested for this equipment.
