Recyclo Games

The Recyklohry project, under the auspices of the Ministry of the Environment, is a long-term educational program aimed at fostering children’s relationship with the environment through thematic tasks, practical games and quizzes, as well as through students’ direct participation in collecting small electronic waste and batteries in containers that schools receive on loan free of charge. Schools earn points for completing tasks and for collection, which they can use to claim interesting rewards such as art or sports supplies, games, school supplies, encyclopedias, and science kits.

The tasks announced so far have had various focuses—art, literature, mathematics, creativity, and even detective work. Two charitable tasks were also announced in collaboration with UNICEF, where schools could donate a portion of their earned points to a selected UNICEF project. Through these tasks, students can put their knowledge to the test in practice, as well as assess their organizational skills and ability to collaborate in a team.

In 2019, Orange Slovensko also joined the project. Under its patronage, a competition titled “SMS – Bring Your Old Cell Phone Here!” has been running in Slovak schools for the second year, with the goal of supporting the environment by collecting unwanted cell phones. We have also established successful cooperation within the Recyklohry project with the Slovak Environmental Agency as part of the Green Education Fund project.
